I am an Alumni member of Charles Sturt University and a member of NetWare Users International (Australia Region) (NUIAR), an IBM Business Partner, a StorageCraft Business Partner; and a Sophos Business Partner.
Career
I graduated from the RAAF School of Radio (RADS) in 1977 specialising in electronics maintenance and design. After a few years working in the electronics discipline I became interested in the design and construction of equipment based upon digital devices. The logical progression that followed took me into the field of computer programming and later into computer systems engineering. This was later formalised through post-graduate studies in two tertiary institutions. Hence my consultancy business was born.
After 22 years in the RAAF with postings to many bases within Australia, and after teaching the technology to hundreds of fabulous students for all of these years; I retired and continued with my consulting pursuits. I purchased a proprietary limited company in 1996, named it after my earlier consulting business and have not looked back.
I am a graduate of The South Australian Institute of Technology and Charles Sturt University. I achieved Novell and Microsoft Certifications in the early 90's and maintain these today through continual re-certification.
Hobbies and Interests
I have interests including but not limited to scuba diving, snorkelling, hydroponic and permaculture gardening, epicurean and natural cooking, philosophy, anthropology, gem and precious metal prospecting, mountain climbing, bush walking, coin and note collecting, societal and pure computing, hi-fi sound, medical science, herbal healing; and woodworking. I enjoy travelling and camping out, enjoying our wonderful flora and fauna wherever and whenever possible.
Most of all I enjoy my little family, Robyn Gai, Adrienne Rebekah, Jackson Connor, Dane Anthony and the wildlife and pets on our hinterland property.
